East Side Mini Open Brings Mini Golf to East Austin

Back for its second year, the East Side Mini Open is a collaborative effort from our favorite East side bartenders to get you moving, exploring, and giving back.

Thirteen bars will design their own holes this year, as golfers participate in a choose-your-own-adventure type of game and play on their own schedules. The participating locations include all of our favorite East side haunts: Shangrila, Kinda Tropical, The Liberty, The Grackle, Kitty Cohen’s, The Cavalier, Zilker Brewing, The Historic Scoot Inn, Yellow Jacket Social Club, La Perla, Hard Luck Lounge, Hotel Vegas, and Volstead.

Tee time kicks off at noon at Kinda Tropical, and the winners are announced later in the evening at Hotel Vegas. Competitive or not, doesn’t matter, because you’re competing for categories like “Best Team Ever,” “2nd Worst Team Ever,” “Most Creative Putter,” - you get the point.

Good Party is also a proud partner of this year’s event, and we’ll be stationed up at The Liberty with a sweet concession stand and providing dog tarot card readings. As with all of the events we promote, this one gives back. Love-a-Bull is this year’s beneficiary, with registration fees going to this amazing organization that rescues pitbull-type dogs and will help them in their efforts to build their first ever shelter.
